Magnaspin looks the likely leader after a brave second at Caulfield. Boniface charged home from the tail to run second at Randwick and looks ready to win, while Litzdeel resumes from a spell off a Group 1 Sydney Cup campaign and commands respect.

Randwick R7 — TAB Premier's Cup Prelude, 1800m
Last-start winner Tazima has been in outstanding form this campaign with four wins from seven starts and is the one to beat. Detonator Jack can bounce back after a forgive run in Melbourne, and Poison Chalice and Nellie Leylax both have claims.

Randwick R8 — Missile Stakes, 1200m
Midnight Dynamite is flying — four wins and six placings from six runs this preparation, off a dominant Winter Challenge victory. All eyes, though, will be on the return of Angel Capital, one of the most exciting horses of his generation, with Gangsta Granny and Ninja also resuming with strong claims.

Morphettville R7 — Behemoth Stakes, 1200m
Sir Now has been ultra-consistent this preparation and looks ready to go one better after another strong second at Morphettville. Cicala will improve third-up, Vestas resumes for a new stable, and last-start winner Lingani is capable of finishing over the top again.
