An excellent 11-race programme at Sha Tin features the Group 3 Sa Sa Ladies' Purse, where Numbers returns against a competitive field headed by Sky Jewellery.
There are some strong betting prospects across the afternoon, including several progressive gallopers who look ready to win following encouraging first-up performances.
We've identified two leading chances in each race, with our strongest selections highlighted at the end.
Race 1 β L'Oreal Paris Handicap
3:30pm Β· 1800m
Kingly Demeanor has been knocking on the door with two solid performances this preparation and looks ideally placed to break through. Barrier two should allow him to control the tempo, while Nichola Yuen's apprentice claim gives him a significant weight advantage. He is also a proven winner over the course and distance.
Star Brose is the danger after an unlucky fifth last time when held up before finishing strongly. Zac Purton takes over, although barrier 14 makes his task considerably harder.
BetBunkerRace 2 β Neogence Handicap
4:00pm Β· 1200m
Wave Garden has developed an excellent record over this course and distance, winning two starts ago before finishing a close third last time. He has the speed to settle closer with a clean getaway and looks capable of returning to winning form.
Macanese Master arrives off a deserved victory and draws barrier three. His consistency and favourable weight relief through Nichola Yuen make him the obvious danger.
BetBunkerRace 3 β Grace One Handicap
4:30pm Β· 1200m
Pejibaye resumes after two impressive barrier trials and looks ready to make an immediate impact. His previous all-weather performances have been encouraging, and the Caspar Fownes stable appears to have him well prepared.
Juicy Dragon is improving with racing and should be approaching peak fitness third-up. His recent third was encouraging, and he has trialled well since.
BetBunkerResumes off two impressive trials and looks well prepared by the Caspar Fownes stable.
Race 4 β Kate Tokyo Handicap
5:00pm Β· 1200m
Apex Glory was outstanding winning last time after taking control from the front and putting the race away decisively. The addition of blinkers has transformed his performances, and Zac Purton remains aboard after another encouraging trial.
Little Monster receives a significant weight advantage through Nichola Yuen's claim and has the form to challenge after finishing second to Apex Glory previously. Prime Ace is another runner capable of improving from a favourable draw.
BetBunkerRace 5 β Canmake Tokyo Handicap
5:30pm Β· 1600m
Gorgeous Victory looks ready to break through after several promising performances. He was narrowly beaten last time and now draws barrier one with Zac Purton aboard, giving him an excellent opportunity to enjoy the perfect run.
Lucky Year has been racing consistently without much luck and gets a significant barrier upgrade to gate two. Vincent Ho takes over, and the return to the mile should suit him ideally.
BetBunkerRace 6 β Elizabeth Arden Handicap
6:00pm Β· 1400m
Lady's Love broke through impressively last start after an encouraging first-up performance. He remains in Class 4 and draws favourably, giving Zac Purton every opportunity to position him prominently.
Mighty Fighter continues to improve and was a strong third behind Lady's Love last time. He receives a favourable weight advantage and draws barrier one, making him a serious threat to turn the tables.
BetBunkerStrong third behind Lady's Love last time, with a weight advantage and barrier one this time.
Race 7 β La Estephe Handicap
6:35pm Β· 1400m
Titan Pegasus looks an exciting prospect with Classic Series ambitions. His first-up fifth was better than the finishing position suggests, and he has since produced an impressive barrier trial victory. He should improve considerably with that run behind him.
Storm Mirror is thriving after two dominant front-running victories and now steps into Class 3. He is clearly improving and looks the biggest danger.
BetBunkerFirst-up fifth was better than it looked, and he has since won a barrier trial impressively.
Race 8 β Group 3 Sa Sa Ladies' Purse
7:05pm Β· 1800m
Sky Jewellery has returned in excellent form this preparation, winning first-up before producing a strong closing fourth in the Group 2 Sha Tin Trophy. The step up to 1800m looks suitable, and his handicap weight gives him a genuine opportunity to claim a feature race.
Numbers is the class runner, having finished runner-up in both the Hong Kong Derby and Champions & Chater Cup. He resumes following an impressive trial victory and has clearly been prepared specifically for this race. The major concern is his big weight against several well-handicapped rivals.
BetBunkerRace 9 β Neue Handicap
7:40pm Β· 1400m
Superb Spirit was desperately unlucky first-up, held up for much of the straight before charging home into third once clear. He has since trialled well and looks a progressive galloper capable of winning his way through the grades.
Celestial Hero arrives off a strong last-start victory and retains Zac Purton. He has the ability to continue his winning run, although Superb Spirit looks to have considerably more improvement to come.
BetBunkerRace 10 β Suisse Programme Handicap
8:15pm Β· 1200m
Absolute Heart is chasing three consecutive victories and looks well placed to continue his winning sequence. He has been impressive in both recent wins and should enjoy a favourable race pattern with limited early speed.
Majestic Valour was narrowly beaten by Absolute Heart last time and should improve significantly second-up. Zac Purton takes over from a favourable draw, giving him an excellent chance to reverse the result.
BetBunkerRace 11 β Santa Monica Handicap
8:50pm Β· 1400m
Mr Incredible looks a serious talent and was outstanding in defeat first-up, coming from near last to finish a close second behind Grand Eagle over 1200m.
He now steps up to 1400m, which should suit him perfectly, and receives a significant weight advantage stepping into Class 2. Karis Teetan remains aboard and should be able to position him closer from a more favourable barrier.
Hot Delight is an exciting four-year-old who produced an excellent first-up performance despite racing wide throughout. He is clearly talented, but the weight difference gives Mr Incredible a slight advantage.
BetBunkerBest bets
Best bet β R9, 7:40pm | No. 6 Superb Spirit β An outstanding first-up performance despite being held up for much of the straight. Has since trialled well and looks ready to win second-up. The strongest combination of form, progression and consensus support on the programme.
Next best β R4, 5:00pm | No. 3 Apex Glory β Dominant last-start winner whose improvement since the addition of blinkers has been significant. Zac Purton stays aboard, and another strong performance looks likely.
Best late β R11, 8:50pm | No. 14 Mr Incredible β A progressive four-year-old with considerable upside. His first-up effort was outstanding, and the step up to 1400m with a light weight makes him extremely dangerous.
Value chance β R8, 7:05pm | No. 3 Sky Jewellery β An improving galloper with an excellent winning record. Gets a significant weight advantage over Numbers and looks capable of claiming the Group 3 feature.
Other strong chances
R1 β No. 5 Kingly Demeanor
