Tales Of Time stamps his Coolmore credentials
Promising colt Tales Of Time enhanced his Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes credentials with an impressive first-up victory at Sandown on Wednesday.
The Clinton McDonald-trained three-year-old carried 61kg to victory, confirming the high opinion the stable has always held of the Yulong-owned colt.
"He's a good colt. He's a proper colt. He always has been," McDonald said.
Tales Of Time will now head to the Danehill Stakes at Flemington on October 3, which McDonald believes could be one of the races of the carnival, before hopefully progressing to the Coolmore.
Regal Ambition emerges as Thousand Guineas hopeful
Lightly raced filly Regal Ambition put herself on a potential Group 1 Thousand Guineas path with an impressive maiden victory at Sandown.
Having just her second start, the Lindsay Park-trained daughter of Palace Pier charged home under Michael Dee to win the 1200m three-year-old maiden.
Co-trainer Ben Hayes will now look towards the Listed Jim Moloney Stakes (1400m), with a strong performance there potentially earning her a shot at the Thousand Guineas at Caulfield on October 17.
Changing Colours makes it three straight
The winning streak continues for Changing Colours, who made it three victories in succession in one of two races rescheduled from Saturday's abandoned Sandown meeting.
The Lucy Yeomans-trained mare has now won her past two under Blake Shinn and will be aimed towards the Group 2 Stocks Stakes at Caulfield on September 27.
