Golden Pendant — Lazzura to improve
Both King and Fizzer are keen on Lazzura improving sharply second-up over 1400m.
King expects her to land just behind the speed and believes she has the class edge on this field, with 15 of her 18 starts coming at Group 1 or Group 2 level. He rates the early price around $2.30 as value.
Fizzer agrees and has also backed Lazzura, with Gangsta Granny his second pick.
Golden Rose — Guest House the horse to beat
King believes Guest House is the best horse in the Golden Rose after his dominant first-up win in the San Domenico.
He expects the favourite may drift and plans to back him, while Tron Bolt is his value play at around $13 after an eye-catching return in the Run To The Rose.
Fizzer also has Guest House on top on ratings but isn't keen to take the short price. He believes St Gotthard could be the big improver stepping to 1400m.
Feehan Stakes — Pride Of Jenni ready to fire
Fizzer is firmly with Pride Of Jenni after an outstanding trial and has already taken $2.30.
King also has her on top, expecting her to roll forward and prove extremely difficult to run down. Another Wil is the value runner, while both were reluctant to take the current price about Treasurethe Moment.
Manikato Stakes — King with Beiwacht
King is keen on Beiwacht, who drops from 1400m to 1200m after his dominant Memsie Stakes victory.
With Nash Rawiller aboard, King expects him to control the race from the front and rates the $3.30 as a good price.
Fizzer has Beiwacht on top on his ratings but is more cautious about the drop to 1200m and believes there could be value elsewhere in the race.
