The Golden Rose headlines Rosehill on Saturday, with Golden Slipper winner Guest House the horse to beat, before the action switches to Caulfield on Sunday for a strong Manikato Stakes card. Beiwacht, Pride Of Jenni and Mr Brightside are among the established stars nominated across the weekend.

Golden Rose – 1400m – Rosehill

The Group 1 Golden Rose is the headline act at Rosehill and one of the defining three-year-old races of the Sydney spring.

Golden Slipper winner Guest House ($2.80) is a clear favourite after his brilliant return in the San Domenico. St Gotthard ($4.40) sits on the second line after finishing runner-up in the Run To The Rose, while J.J. Atkins winner Tron Bolt ($8) and Run To The Rose winner Warwoven ($8) are next. Under Focus ($9) and Central Europe ($13) round out the main hopes.

Golden Pendant – 1400m – Rosehill

The Group 2 Golden Pendant gives the fillies and mares a valuable black-type opportunity over 1400m.

Lazzura ($2.30) dominates the early market ahead of Gangsta Granny ($4.50). Apocalyptic ($6), Surfin' Bird ($6) and Verona Rose ($6) share the next line, with Modella ($7) also prominent.

Shannon Stakes – 1500m – Rosehill

The Group 2 Shannon Stakes is an important Epsom Handicap lead-up, with the winner gaining ballot exemption into the Group 1 the following week.

Skyhook ($2.20) is a clear early favourite, with multiple Group 1 winner Private Eye ($6) next in betting. God's Window ($8) and Estadio Mestalla ($9) follow, while Just Folk ($11) is among a group sitting on the next line.

Heritage Stakes – 1100m – Rosehill

The Group 3 Heritage Stakes gives the three-year-old sprinters another chance to progress through the grades during the Sydney spring.

Memsie Stakes winner Beiwacht ($4) heads an open market, with the rapidly improving Oliveanotherday ($5) on the second line after winning six of his first eight starts. Jimmysstar ($6) is next, followed by Extragalactic ($8), Giga Kick ($9) and My Gladiola ($11).

Feehan Stakes – 1600m – Caulfield

The Group 2 Feehan could produce another clash between two of Australia's most popular horses, with Pride Of Jenni ($2.50) and Mr Brightside ($6) both nominated. Pride Of Jenni is attempting to win the race for a third consecutive year.

Zambardo ($4) splits the two stars in the market, while Light Infantry Man ($9) and Another Wil ($11) are also prominent.

Stutt Stakes – 1600m – Caulfield

The Group 2 Stutt Stakes is an important Caulfield Guineas lead-up over the same course and distance.

Diameter ($4.50) and New Zealand Group 1 winner Lara Antipova ($4.50) share favouritism, with Lara Antipova coming off an impressive Exford Plate victory. Somethings Burnin ($7) is next ahead of Stormy Marco ($9), Call Me Coach ($11) and Unit Five ($11).

Scarborough Stakes – 1200m – Caulfield

The Group 3 Scarborough Stakes is a 1200m sprint for three-year-old fillies.

Chayan ($3) heads the early market ahead of Over The Bridge ($4) and Calamari Ring ($5). Scintillation ($6) is next, followed by Ghana's Akan ($9) and Jadzia ($11).

Stocks Stakes – 1600m – Caulfield

The Group 2 Stocks Stakes brings together the mares over the Caulfield mile.
