The Daily Punt Spring All-Stars

The punting competition we’ve all been waiting for is finally here.

The Daily Punt Spring All-Stars brings together four established punting teams for a four-round battle across the biggest Saturdays of the spring — with punters able to get involved and ride every bet with them.

Using Ladbrokes Mates Mode Community Pots, each team will put together its own betting set every round, giving punters the opportunity to buy into their pot and share in the result.

There are four teams, four qualifying rounds and only two spots in the Grand Final.

After four rounds, the top two teams based on their pro-rata pot performance will advance to the Spring All-Stars Grand Final on Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day, where they will go head-to-head for the title and the grand prize.

Every bet matters. Every winner counts. And every punter who buys into a team’s Community Pot has skin in the game.

When a team is competing, punters can join its Pot through The Daily Punt’s Mates Mode Community in the Ladbrokes app.

The buy-in is $50. Each punter can buy into a team’s pot once, with a minimum investment of $50. Once you’re in, you’re riding with the team for the entire set.

You can follow every bet through the Mates Mode activity feed and chat feed, with each team’s complete betting set published before the action begins.

4 teams. 4 qualifying rounds. 2 finalists. 1 Grand Final.

Four huge rounds covering some of the best racing of the Australian spring, before the two best-performing teams meet on one of the biggest days on the racing calendar.

Each team’s betting bank will be determined by the total amount invested in its Ladbrokes Mates Mode Community Pot for that round.

From there, the rules are simple. Each team must:

• Turn over its entire starting bank once and once only during the round.
• Place a minimum of eight bets.
• Bet between 5% and 30% of its starting bank on any individual selection.
• Submit its complete betting set by 11:00am on competition day, at which point the Community Pot also closes to any further investment.
• Treat multis and tote bets as one bet for the purposes of the eight-bet minimum.

Once the bets are locked in, it’s time to sit back and watch the action unfold.

Punters can follow their team’s bets through the Mates Mode activity feed and chat feed, making the Spring All-Stars a competition you don’t just watch — you can be part of it.

It doesn’t matter whether one Community Pot has more money invested than another.

Teams will be ranked according to their pro-rata return on starting bank, meaning every team competes on equal terms. It’s all about performance.

After the four qualifying rounds, the two teams with the best overall pro-rata results will earn their place in the Spring All-Stars Grand Final on Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day.

Then it’s winner takes all the glory.

If two teams finish with the same pro-rata result:

• The team to record the first winning selection will be ranked higher.
• If the teams still cannot be separated, the result will be decided by coin toss.
