An early one to get involved with. Galloping Jessie out of box 4 is the dog our judges rate the clear best in this — sharp sectional speed and a genuine liking for the trip means she should be motoring through the middle stages. From the midfield draw she needs a clean run to the first turn, but the quality is there to take over.

Casino R11 — 300m (6:04pm)
A short-course sprint where the jump is everything. Needle And Seat from box 3 is a genuine beginner with the fastest time on the page, and over 300m that early speed is worth its weight. Line And Sinker rates a whisker behind for us and has clearly been racing well, but from box 5 our judges lean to the dog that can ping the lids and be gone. At the quoted price, Needle And Seat is the play.

Angle Park R2 — 730m (7:28pm)
A staying Free For All where our top-rated runner and the price are pulling in the same direction, which doesn't happen often. Bandit Daryl out of box 4 projects to lead, and a small field plays right into his hands over the 730m. We make him the one to beat here on his own merits, and the price gives us plenty to like.

Warrnambool R9 — 390m (8:04pm) — the value we want
This is the race our team keeps coming back to. Sketchy Demos from box 6 is rated the equal-best runner in the field — with a slick recent qualifying time — yet he's being offered at a price that treats him as though he can't win. That's exactly the disagreement we exist to back. The midfield draw means he needs a fair beginning to slot in behind the speed, but on ability he's right there with anything, and at this quote he's an each-way play with real upside.

Another stayer we like. Mondo Cortez projects to lead from box 2. Getting to the front in a 710m race and dictating is a powerful position, and he's the one our judges want on top.

To round out the night, Ava's Milo from box 4 is the fastest qualifier with a slick time to match, and our judges have her clearly on top.
