Footy is done, the Roosters have delivered for King and Fizzer, and the boys are cashed up for a huge month of spring racing.

Caulfield Guineas Day takes centre stage this Saturday, with three Group 1 races under the microscope before the boys reveal their official Saturday Sets.

Might And Power Stakes β€” Sheza Alibi to dominate

Both King and Fizzer expect Sheza Alibi to prove too classy stepping up to 2000m for the first time.

King believes her superior turn of foot will be decisive in a small field, although he's reluctant to take $1.34. Fizzer is more enthusiastic and plans to include her in multis.

Birdman is the obvious danger following his impressive Underwood Stakes victory, but neither believes the likely race tempo will suit him.

Caulfield Guineas β€” Warwoven faces a new test

Warwoven produced a massive rating winning the Golden Rose, but stepping to 1600m and racing anticlockwise for the first time introduces fresh questions.

Fizzer has Warwoven clearly on top on ratings and will have a small bet, while King believes the $2.20 favourite is under the odds.

Blind Raise is the major danger following a dominant Caulfield victory, while Central Europe at $14 appeals as the value runner.

King's advice is simple: wait until Saturday to assess the track pattern before betting.

Toorak Handicap β€” plenty of value

King sees three runners worth considering at bigger prices:

  • Sabaj β€” blinkers first time, third-up and ready to peak over 1600m.
  • Too Darn Discreet β€” better suited at the distance and capable of improving at 21–26.
  • Salty Pearl β€” well weighted with 52kg and appealing around $11.

Fizzer finds the race extremely open and nominates Panova each-way as his roughie, while questioning the prices of Lady Shenandoah and Evaporate.
