Randwick

R2 – 12:40pm · Arrowfield Breeders' Plate

1000m · Group 3 · 2YO Colts & Geldings · SW · Soft 5

An intriguing first look at the new-season two-year-olds. Nonu showed good speed before clearing out impressively in his trial, while Proverb came from near last to win his heat in sharp style. Capitano charged late to narrowly miss in his trial, Fiji won his heat with authority and Flying Houdini also arrives off a trial victory.

Market: no significant moves since opening.

R3 – 1:15pm · Keeneland Gimcrack Stakes

1000m · Group 3 · 2YO Fillies · SW · Soft 5

Shraddha looked a natural leading throughout to win her trial, with Enfield chasing her home. Everlasting Grace appeared to have plenty in hand when second in her heat, while Provata finished strongly behind Shraddha and gets a favourable draw. A typically open Gimcrack with the trials providing the key guide.

Market mover: Provata has firmed from $10.00 into $7.50.

R4 – 1:50pm · Cornerstone Risk Group Dulcify Stakes

1600m · Listed · 3YO · SW · Soft 5

Genesis Runner caught the eye closing strongly in the Ming Dynasty and should appreciate the rise to 1600m with blinkers going on. Vallice had a tough run in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude and that form has since been franked, while Savagram can improve if allowed to control things more comfortably. Wonka maps to get another economical run.

Market mover: Vallice has firmed from $7.50 into $6.00.

R6 – 3:00pm · Darley Flight Stakes

1600m · Group 1 · 3YO Fillies · SW · Soft 5

Bangkok Hottie chases a hat-trick after continuing to get the better of her rivals through the Princess Series and now gets her chance at the mile. Striking Alibi continues to improve this preparation, while Global Goal has been consistently around the mark. The established Sydney fillies meet again with the 1600m the new test.

Market: no significant moves since opening.

R7 – 3:35pm · Asahi Super Dry Metropolitan

2400m · Group 2 · 3YO+ · Handicap · Soft 5

The Euphrates arrives third-up after a strong Kingston Town victory and has already proven himself over 2400m. Juja Kibo chased him home last start and continues to race well, while Pinhole brings winning form into his biggest test. Deakin is another proven stayer attracting early attention as the field stretches out to the mile and a half.

Market movers: Deakin has firmed from $19.00 into $13.00, and Pinhole has firmed from $17.00 into $12.00.

R8 – 4:10pm · TAB Epsom

1600m · Group 1 · 3YO+ · Handicap · Soft 5

A deep Epsom where Autumn Boy returns to Randwick after his excellent Doncaster second and gets back to the mile. Lady Shenandoah brings elite-level form but has a tricky draw to overcome, while Well Written arrives off consecutive wins and maps to land in a favourable position. Ceolwulf is building nicely into his preparation and boasts an excellent Randwick mile record.

Market: no significant moves since opening.

R9 – 4:45pm · Precise Air Premiere Stakes

1200m · Group 2 · 3YO+ · WFA · Soft 5

A cracking Everest lead-up. Tempted has an outstanding Randwick record, including her Everest second to Ka Ying Rising, while Ninja looks to rebound from a below-par Shorts performance. Mazu returned a winner and loves this track and trip, while Headwall adds another genuine top-level sprinting presence to a quality field.

Market: no significant moves since opening.

Flemington

R1 – 12:25pm · Darley Maribyrnong Trial Stakes

1000m · Listed · 2YO · SW · Good 3

Silent Intent has won both Flemington jumpouts and looked particularly sharp in his latest hitout. Proverb produced an impressive last-to-first trial win in Sydney, while Ankaa also arrives off a Flemington jumpout victory. Maalefushi finished nicely behind Silent Intent and there appears little between several of these unraced youngsters.

Market: no significant moves since opening.

R3 – 1:30pm · Howden Super Impose Stakes

1800m · Listed · 3YO · SWP · Good 3

Lepolo remains unbeaten after powering away from Cignetti at Sandown, although Cignetti had little room when it mattered and should settle much closer here. Skua arrives off a solid maiden win with the form already franked, while True Rebel put a big gap on third when breaking through at Geelong. The rise to 1800m should suit several of these Derby-bound three-year-olds.

Market movers: Lepolo has firmed from $4.20 into $3.60, and Melbourne Boy has firmed from $51.00 into $31.00.

R4 – 2:05pm · TAB One Pool Edward Manifold Stakes

1600m · Group 2 · 3YO Fillies · SW · Good 3

Profligate has been building nicely and the move to 1600m on the bigger Flemington track looks ideal. Portinari again hit the line strongly at Caulfield, while Saintly Dancer beat both home after enjoying a soft run on speed. Stipulation comes through strong form and should appreciate the mile, with Joely another suited by the extra distance.

Market: no significant moves since opening.

R5 – 2:40pm · Cirka Rose Of Kingston Stakes

1400m · Group 2 · 4YO+ Mares · SWP · Good 3

Gold Coast Belle and On Display come through the Let's Elope, where both had excuses before Pondalowie swept over them late. Gold Coast Belle should strip fitter third-up, while On Display can improve with a cleaner run. Tennessee Bound continues to race well and Wrote To Arataki gets back to a more suitable 1400m second-up.

Market mover: Abounding has firmed from $16.00 into $12.00.

R6 – 3:15pm · Asahi Super Dry Danehill Stakes

1100m · Group 2 · 3YO · SWP · Good 3

Natural Fling drops back to her own age after an excellent third in the Group 1 Moir and returns to a straight course that suits. The Next Episode beat her convincingly earlier this year and has reportedly improved through his recent hitouts. Over Excited was narrowly beaten down the straight last start, while Mbube and Big Sky bring strong Poseidon Stakes form.

Market mover: The Next Episode has firmed from $4.50 into $3.90.

R7 – 3:50pm · The Lexus Bart Cummings

2520m · Group 3 · Quality · Good 3

Aethelwulf has put together four dominant wins and faces his biggest staying test if connections elect to run here. Juja Kibo was strong chasing The Euphrates home last start and gets in nicely at the weights, while Wootton Verni has been racing better than his finishing positions suggest. Campaldino should appreciate the rise to 2520m and Litzdeel gets a useful weight swing.

Market mover: Wootton Verni has firmed from $13.00 into $11.00.

R8 – 4:25pm · TAB Turnbull Stakes

2000m · Group 1 · 4YO+ · SWP · Good 3

Aeliana hit the line strongly behind Autumn Glow second-up and now reaches 2000m, where she defeated Sir Delius in the Ranvet during the autumn. Sir Delius should improve sharply from his Makybe Diva return, while Buckaroo has been building nicely and gets in well at the weights. Cosmic Crusader continues to race consistently after another strong showing in the Underwood.

Market: no significant moves since opening.

R9 – 5:05pm · Gilgai Stakes

1200m · Group 2 · SWP · Good 3

Skybird returns to the Flemington straight where she won the Group 1 Lightning and should improve from her Moir return. Losesomewinmore nailed Hedged late in the Bobbie Lewis, but Hedged meets him significantly better at the weights this time. Smooth Chino brings strong WA sprint form, while Inkaruna has returned in good order and looks ready to peak.

Market: no significant moves since opening.
