The clash Australian racing fans wanted is officially on, with superstar mares Autumn Glow and Sheza Alibi confirmed for Saturday's $1 million Group 1 Winx Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick.

Both stars have drawn well for the weight-for-age showdown, with Autumn Glow in barrier three and Sheza Alibi in barrier one. Peter Moody had rated the trip a 70-30 chance after Tuesday's gallop.

The blockbuster clash adds enormous intrigue to the first Sydney Group 1 of the new season.

Lightly raced sprinter Oliveanotherday continues to emerge as a potential spring wildcard for trainer Tom Dabernig.

The four-year-old pleased Dabernig in a 1000m Caulfield Heath jumpout on Wednesday morning, working comfortably in a strong heat featuring Treasurethe Moment, She's A Hustler, Amenable, Belle Cheval, Point Barrow and Sass Appeal.

There has already been early interest from Everest slot-holders, although Dabernig is keen to let the promising sprinter establish himself at the races before looking too far ahead.
